BSides Mumbai aims to be a welcoming space where experienced professionals and newcomers alike can meet local companies and leaders in the industry.

What is the fees/payment structure?

The fee structure comprises different ticket tiers with varied prices, considering factors such as early-bird discounts, student rates, group bookings, etc. All rates quoted exclude GST, with additional charges for payment-gateway services. Note that travel and accommodation costs are not included in the ticket fee and are the participant's responsibility to reserve and pay for.

What is the venue policy?

Attendees will be notified about venue details either while purchasing the ticket or via a separate mail rolled out at least 30 days prior to the event. The organizer retains the right to modify the event program, timing, or location. Such changes, if necessary, will not substantially diminish the benefits described for the participant, and attendees will be promptly informed at least one month before the event date.

A 7% discount is applied to registrations for groups of 5 or more participants. Perfect for teams, student groups, or companies wanting to attend together!

Does BSides Mumbai pay for travel and accommodation for speakers?

Accepted Answer

Although we'd love to cover both travel and stay for our valued speakers, we currently can't afford to do both. We do offer travel accommodation (on the conference date) for speakers travelling from other states, and depending on sponsorship availability we may attempt to provide stay. Advance thanks to speakers from other states of India or abroad attending BSides Mumbai.

Is there an age requirement?

Everyone is welcome. Attendees 16 or younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the full duration of the event. If you're 16 or under and bringing a guardian, please email us at info@bsidesmumbai.in before booking - guardian tickets are handled separately, so we'll sort out the right tickets for both of you. Note: attendees must be 21 years or older to consume alcohol at the after-party, in accordance with local laws.

Will the talks be in English?

Yes, we prefer to conduct all talks in English. There might be instances where a mix of Hindi and English ("Hinglish") is used to keep the Mumbai vibe. English serves as the common language so knowledge sharing stays accessible to all attendees.

What is the Refund Policy?

Once a pass is purchased, it is non-refundable. However, we do offer the option to transfer the pass to another participant or individual. Refunds are only issued if the event is cancelled.

What are transportation options for getting to the venue?

The venue is an 8-minute walk from Prabhadevi Railway Station and a 15-minute walk from Dadar Station. If you prefer not to walk, buses run from Dadar Station to the Siddhivinayak Temple Bus Stand, about 900 m from the venue. Ola, Uber, and Rapido are also easily accessible.

BSides Mumbai / the organizers have not tied up with any hotels or stays. There are a few potentially good stays near the venue - you can reach out in the communities to discuss the nearest or most feasible options.

No alcohol is allowed on the event venue premises. The after-party will be at a bar where alcoholic beverages can be purchased.

Tickets will include breakfast, lunch, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks such as water and tea/coffee.

Yes! The after-party runs from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM at a local bar. It includes dinner, and alcoholic drinks for corporate pass holders.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and drink to the venue. We just ask that you do not eat inside the session rooms.
